n = 10
α = 0.01
A) 23.209 B) 21.666 C) 1.735, 23.589 D) 2.088, 21.666
I was going to use test of a single variance formula to solve this problem. but they did not state sample standard deviation. therefore I am not sure how to approach this question. Thank you in advance.

alpha = 0.01 implies 99% confidence
now refer to chi^2 able
we have a left side at 0.995 and a right side of .005
the associated critical values are (1.735, 23.589)
