I tried adding the two sides together and then subtracting from the perimeter but I don't know if the answer is correct. Just doesn't seem right to me.

I've tried it twelve times on webassign and asked on here previously, but the answer I was given was incorrect. I continued to try and I'm still not getting it.
This was the answer I was previously given: -5x^3 -x^2 -x - 7.

I've got it down to (subtracting vertically):
