3. The dosage in milligrams, of Chloramphenicol needed for your patient
I did a ratio based on the information above and got X= 1360mgs
So for someone who weighs 240 lbs a dose of 1360mgs is needed.
4. Graph the function
6. Determine the amounts of each type of solution required to prepare 1000 ml of the 10% solution
7. Determine the dosage in milliliters rounded to 2 decimal places, of the 10% solution needed for your patient. Recall that medications are expressed as percent solution where the percent solution indicates how many grams of the active ingredient are dissolved in 100 milliliters of diluting elements (usually water or saline)
8. Determine how long after the IV injection it takes for the medication to start working

5(3t-5)(t+3) no negative factors so the sign will not change

I understand you can substitute a single varable for a common part of the problem.

Question 541125: Need a lesson on how to factor an expression with fractional exponets. Probably not searching the right thing on youtube.
I typed each twice because the formula plottting system is cutting off the top of the fractions on my screen.
Book gives the example:
3x^(3/2) - 9x^(1/2) + 6x^(-1/2)
= 3x^(-1/2) *(x^2-3x+2)
= 3x^(-1/2) (x-1)(x+2)
I am just not getting much from that example
I have a few problems in the book with the final answer:
x^(-3/2) + 2x^(-1/2) + x^(1/2)
The final answer is:
x^(-3/2) * (x+1)^2
Can you show me detailed steps?
Another problem is:
2x^(1/3)*(x-2)^(2/3) - 5x^(4/3)(x-2)^(-1/3)
The final answer is:
x^(1/3) *(x-2)^(-1/3)* (-3x-4)

I could only begin c) with expanding out the whole expression to:
x^2(y) - x^2(z) + y^2(z) - xy^2 - yz^2
I could not even attempt a) or b) and as mentioned above, I began c) with the expansion shown above.
Any assistance on these three problems would be greatly appreciated.
