Hi there,
the difference between -x^2+10x-3 and x^2+6x+5
(-x^2 + 10x - 3)-(x^ + 6x + 5)
-x^2 + 10x - 3 - x^2 - 6x - 5
=-2x^2 + 4x - 8
.............
add 5x^3-8x+1
5x^3 - 8x + 1 + (-2x^2 + 4x - 8)
5x^3 - 8x + 1 - 2x^2 + 4x - 8
=5x^3 - 2x^2 - 4x - 7
Hope this helps:-)
