You can put this solution on YOUR website! 1.) Divide and simplify
((x^2+2x-15)/4x^2)/((x^2-25)/2x-10)
--------------------
Factor where possible:
[(x+5)(x-3)/4x^2] / [(x-5)(x+5)/2(x-5)]
---------
Invert the denominator and multiply:
[(x+5)(x-3)/4x^2] * [2(x-5)/(x-5)(x+5)]
Cancel 2, (x-5) and (x+5) which are common to numerator and denominator:
= [(x-3)/2x^2]
= (x-3)/2x^2
===================
2.) (2/5) - (y/(y-2))
= [2(y-2)-5y]/[5(y-2)]
= [-3y-4]/[5(y-2)]
======================
