Question 973653: For a fixed voltage, the current in an electrical circuit varies inversely as the resistance in the circuit. If a certain circuit has a current of
2 1/2 amps when the resistance is 140 ohms, find the current in the circuit when the resistance is doubled.
amps

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
E=IR
I=E/R This is the formula, and it is inversely.
2.5 amps=350 volts/140 ohms. Now double the resistance, and you would expect the current to halve.
x= 350 volts/280 ohms
=1.25 amperes.
It indeed is half as much.
