If you use FOIL or binomial thm, (x+y)^2 is equal to x^2 + 2xy + y^2.

%28x%2By%29%5E2 is square of the sum and it is equal to x%5E2%2B2%26%238290%3Bxy%2By%5E2 and it is a perfect square trinomial
and x%5E2%2By%5E2 is the sum of the squares
why %28x%2By%29%5E2 is not equal to x%5E2%2By%5E2, : because it is a binomial and %28x%2By%29%5E2 is 2%26%238290%3Bxy greater then x%5E2%2By%5E2
