Factor by grouping
first separate the equation into two separate ones
(x^3-3x^2)+(-4x+12)
then find common factors
X^2(x-3)-4(x-3)
if you did it correctly you should have the same equation in the parentheses and after that you join the two number on the outside of the parentheses together.
solution is(x^2-4)(x-3)
