You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You want to get rid of the -2x on the right side, so
just do something to both sides that cancels out the -2x
on the right side. That happens to be adding 2x to both sides
You can think of it as subtracting a -2x from both sides, so
I'll do it that way
x%5E2+-+3x+-+4+=+-2x+%2B+2
x%5E2+-+3x+-%28-2x%29+-+4+=+-2x+-%28-2x%29+%2B+2
x%5E2+-+3x+%2B+2x+-+4+=+-2x+%2B+2x+%2B+2
x%5E2+-+x+-+4+=+2
now subtract 2 from both sides
x%5E2+-+x+-+4+-+2+=+2+-+2
x%5E2+-+x+-+6+=+0
and this equals
%28x-3%29%28x%2B2%29
so x can be +3 or -2 answer
check answer
x%5E2+-+x+-+6+=+0
3%5E2+-+3+-+6+=+0
9+-+9+=+0 OK
-------------------
x%5E2+-+x+-+6+=+0
%28-2%29%5E2+-%28-2%29+-+6+=+0
4+%2B+2+-6+=+0
6+-+6+=+0 OK
