You can put this solution on YOUR website! Can you please help me factor this polynomial x^4+3.5x^3-6x^2-14x+8?
------------------
f(x) = x^4+3.5x^3-6x^2-14x+8?
------------
Try the factors of 8.
If (x-1) is a factor, the subbing 1 for x will give a zero.
Try 1, 2, 4 & 8 plus and minus.
---------
If you find a factor, (x - a), then divide the quartic by it, and look for more factors the same way.

If you have a graphing calculator, you can find the zeroes with it.
