Question 66201: The volume of the box is represented by (x^2+5x+6)(x+5). Find the polynomial that repersents the area of the bottom of the box.
I do not understand how to only get the bottom of the box?? Thank you for your help :-)

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The volume of the box is represented by (x^2+5x+6)(x+5). Find the polynomial that repersents the area of the bottom of the box.
:
You know that the volume is L*W*H; (length times width times height}
:
You know that the area is L*W; another words you can say that to get the volume
you can mult the area by the height, right? (L*W) * H
:
Since the area consists of two factors (L&W), it would make sense that the area is
(x^2 + 5x + 6), It can be factored to (x+3)(x+2), one representing the length and
the other the width. Of course the height is (x+5)
