perhaps you overlooked that the 2nd fraction contains difference of square & can be factored to:
%28%28b%2B4%29%29%2F%28%28b-2%29%29 * %28%28b-2%29%28b%2B2%29%29%2F%28%28b-4%29%28b%2B4%29%29
Cancel (b+4) and (b-2) and you left with
