Question 54095: I need help learning the steps to this problem.
Completely factor the polynomial
((( x^3-2x^2-5x+6 ))) given that x-1 is a factor Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Factor x^3-2x^2-5x+6 given that x-1 is a factor
If you know synthetic division you can find the
quadratic factor which is x^2 -x -6.
This quadratic factor reduces to (x-3)(x+2)
So the factored form of your problem is (x-1)(x-3)(x_2)
