Solve the proportion: 4/(x+1) = 3/(x+2)
4(x+2)=3(x+1)
4x+8=3x+3
x=-5
Solve the proportion: x/(x+3) = (x-2)/x
x^2=(x+3)(x-2)
x^2=x^2+3x-2x-6
x^2=x^2+x-6
0=x-6
6=x
Solve the proportion: 5/x = 8/15
5*15=8x
75=8x
9.375=x
