So %28abs%283x-1%29%29%2F%28abs%281-3x%29%29=1 when x=3


Note: It turns out that %28abs%283x-1%29%29%2F%28abs%281-3x%29%29=1 for any value of x (except x=1%2F3) because abs%283x-1%29=abs%281-3x%29 for every value of x.

Evaluate the following when x=3
|3x-1|

|1-3x|
=============
No matter what value you substitute for "x"
the fraction equals one because 3x-1
is the negative of 1-3x so the alsolute
values are the same.
