You can put this solution on YOUR website!
first, check for common factors (of ALL the terms)

in this case , all the terms are divisible by 3 , so that can be factored out ___ 3(2x^2 + 9x - 5)

2x^2 has factors of 2x and x

-5 has factors of ±5 and ±1

you are looking for sets of factors of the 1st and last terms that will result in 9x when FOILed

x times -1 is -x ___ 2x times 5 is 10x ___ -x + 10x = 9x

so the factors are ___ 3 (2x - 1) (x + 5)
