Question 301436: (x+3)(x+10)=0
(x+3) (x+10)=0
x=-3, x=-10

Hi I wanted to know if someone could help me withj this problem. I have already ansered it, but my professor told me- "I would have like to see each binomial equal to zero and then solved". Can someone help me with this?
Thank you!!! =)

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
%28x%2B3%29%28x%2B10%29=0
Using the zero product property,
x%2B3=0
x=-3
.
.
.
x%2B10=0
x=-10

The professor thinks you skipped a step in your presentation.
He wants to know how you got from
(x+3) (x+10)=0
to
x=-3, x=-10
and you obviously don't know.
