How do you subtract the operation, 3x2 - 5 from 4x2 - 10x?
------------------
Subtract like terms, x^2 terms from x^2 terms, etc.
4x^2 - 10x + 0
3x^2 + 00x - 5
----------------
1x^2 - 10x + 5
or x^2 - 10x +5

Hello,
To do this let's set it up like this:
4x2 - 10x
-(3x2 - 5) This can be rewritten as:
-3x2 +0x+5 Now we can subtract this from the first to give us:
x2-10x+5
There we go. Make sense?
