You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The original equation was
{{(x+2)^2+7(x+2)=18}}}
step 1 - foil out and distribute to get
x%5E2+%2B+4x+%2B+4+%2B+7x+%2B+14+=+18
step 2 - set = 0 as
x%5E2+%2B+4x+%2B+4+%2B+7x+%2B+14++-+18+=+0
step 3 - combine like terms to get
x%5E2+%2B+11x+=+0
step 4 - factor to get
x%28x%2B11%29+=+0
So,
x = 0, x = -11.
