This can be written as:
(-5d-1)-1(5d+6) Notice the 1 in front of the parenthesis? Now multiply.
(-5d-1)-5d-6 Now combine like terms.
-10d-7
There you go, simplified.

there is only one tricky sign change here
remember to change 6 to -6
so you can almost just remove the parentheses
