You can put this solution on YOUR website!
How is this problem done?

Is (-3,2) a solution of the system

y=3x%2B7
y=5x%2B13

Step 1. To see if (-3,2) is a solution to y=3x+7, substitute x=-3 and y=2 into the equation. See if the left side of equation is equal to the right side of equation.

y=3x%2B7 is then 2=3%28-3%29%2B7=-9%2B7=-2 Which is not true. Therefore, (-3,2) is not a solution to this equation.

Step 2. To see if (-3,2) is a solution to y=5x+13, substitute x=-3 and y=2 into the equation. See if the left side of equation is equal to the right side of equation.

y=5x%2B13 is then 2=5%28-3%29%2B13=-15%2B13=-2 Which is not true. Therefore, (-3,2) is not a solution to this equation.

I hope the above steps were helpful.
