You can put this solution on YOUR website!
For a), plug in 3 for "x" in the polynomial and solve using PEMDAS
(3)^3 - 3(3)^2 - (3) + 9
27 - 3(9) - 3 + 9
27 - 27 - 3 + 9
-3 + 9
6
For b), plug in -3 for "x" in the polynomial and solve using PEMDAS
(-3)^3 - 3(-3)^2 - (-3) + 9
-27 - 3(9) + 3 + 9
-27 - 27 + 3 + 9
-54 + 3 + 9
-51 + 9
-42
