Question 1002993: "A rectangular window has a length of (6a)/(3a-1) meters and a width of (4)/(3a-1) meters. How many feet of trim will be painted if the trim goes around three sides of the window (both lengths and one width)?" Answer by Boreal(15235) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! 2 lengths are 12a/(3a-1)
1 width is 4/(3a-1)
I will use meters as units, although one could convert that to feet at the end by multiplying meters by 3.28
Common denominator, so by adding, we get 12a+4/(3a-1)
That can be written also as 4(3a+1)/(3a-1)m or 13.12(3a+1)/(3a-1) ft.
This can't be simplified further.
