   : View Source, ShowAbout bperkhou: I am a student at Stanford University. In this video lesson, I show a useful strategy in calculating the area of a regular polygon. Regular polygons are polygons that have all angles and all sides equal. The strategy is that regular polygons have a center point, and when you connect this point to the outside vertices you get several (depending on which type of polygon) triangles. But all of these triangles are congruent, and using some trigonometry it is possible to calculate the area of the triangles. This strategy is demonstrated on a regular hexagon.
