Question 96775: It says: Determine whether each quadrilateral with the given vertices is a parallelogram, a rectangle, a rhombus, or a square. List all that apply.
Then they give me the points:
M(1,5), N(6,5), O(6,10), P(1,10)
How do I solve this without graphing it?

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Determine whether each quadrilateral with the given vertices is a parallelogram, a rectangle, a rhombus, or a square. List all that apply.
Then they give me the points:
M(1,5), N(6,5), O(6,10), P(1,10)
---------
Plot the points so you can see what you are working with.
You should see that each of the sides is length 5 and
the sides are perpendicular so the figure is a square,
is a rectagle, is a parallelogram.
-----------
If you were working only with the points you would have
to find the equation of each line passing thru two of the
points; determine if cerain lines were perpendicular.
; determine the length of the lines. Come to the conclusion
adjacent sides are perpendicular and the length of each of
the sides is 5.
