You can put this solution on YOUR website! a parallelogram has sides 24.1m and 32.3m. the height corresponding to the 24.1m base is 9.9m. what is the height, to the nearest tenth of a meter, corresponding to the 32.3m base?
Answer
Area of parallelogram =basex height
=24.1 x 9.9 square meter ( base is 24.1 and corresponding height 9.9m) (1)
area of parallelogram on other base = 32.3 x corresponding height (2)
both (1) and (2) are equal as area of one parallelogram
24.1 x9.9 =32.3 x height of corresponding base
height =24.1 x 9.9/32.3
Height =7.3866 m
=7.4 m (round off) ANSWER
