Question 937520: I have a problem.
I am working on combinations. This is my problem:
"Mrs. Marshall has 9 different history books. How many ways can they be arranged on a shelf?". My math book says that the answer is 362,880 but I don't see how they got that. I figure that 9C9= 9!/9!*0! would equal 1. And that's even what your website said too since the 9! and the 9! would cross each other off. But, that's not my math book's answer.
Any help would be appreciated!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
9 different history books. How many ways can they be arranged on a shelf.
Note: You are not 'choosing nine', rather 'arranging' nine different books
......
Ans: 9! = 262,880 ways of arranging on a shelf
