10P4 = 5040 = 10%21%2F6%21+=+10%2A9%2A8%2A7
Re TY: one would have to generate the 5040 ways themselves.
The best way of understanding it is:
10 choices for 1st & 9 different choices for 2nd & 8 different choices for 3rd
& finally 7 different choices for the 4th number: 10%2A9%2A8%2A7 ways to do all this

This is a combination of 4 items taken 10 at a time
10! / (4! * (10-4)!) = 10*9*8*7 / 4*3*2 = 5*3*4*7 = 420 ways arranged into groups of four
