Question 721844: a roller coaster has room for 10 people. the people sit single file, one after the other. how many different arrangements are possible for 10 passangers on the roller coaster Answer by solver91311(24713) (Show Source):
There are 10 ways to choose the first person, then for each of those 10 ways there are 9 ways to choose the second person -- altogether 90 ways to choose the first two people. Then for each of those 90 ways there are 8 ways to choose the third person.
Altogether, for all 10 people: 10!. Use your calculator.
