There are 5 boys out of 9 people, so the probability of selecting a boy as President is . Given that a boy is selected as President and we presume that the club would not select the same person to serve as President and Vice-President simultaneously, the probability that a girl is selected as Vice-President is 4 girls out of the 8 people who remain once the one boy selected as President has been subtracted.
