Question 429164: I must select my schedule next semester. I need to take one history class out of 5 offered, one English class out of 7 offered and one humanities class out of 10 offered. If there are no restrictions on which one of each course I must take, how many different schedules are possible for me?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If you need to take one history class out of 5, then you have 5 choices for history. Likewise, you have 7 choices for English, which gives you a total of 5 X 7 or 35 choices. Multiply that by the number of humanities courses you have to choose from, and that gives you 35 X 10 or 350 possible schedules to choose from!
