Question 301684: How many ways can you line up 8 children in order if Sally has to be separated from both Mary and Jan?
*I know to get the total amount of options for lining up you would do 8! ...I'm not sure what to do if you can not have sally, mary, and Jan together. Thank you!

You are lucky to get it done once.
At least three will be crying, several hungry, several have to go to the bathroom, several fighting. That's why you can't put Sally with anyone.
Several have already left while we are talking. A couple have taken off their clothes, and two are eating dirt.
