There are 36 outcomes, in all, each with the probability  1%2F36.


Of them,  there are  4  outcomes with the sum of 5


    (1,4), (2,3), (3,2) and (4,1).


Therefore, the probability under the question is  P = 1 - 4%2F36 = 1 - 1%2F9 = 8%2F9.    ANSWER
