let x be the no of female volunteers last year
and y be the no of male volunteers last year
x+y= 375
no of male volunteers increased by 20 %
so no of male volunteers this year = y+20 % of y
= y+0.2 y
=1.2y
similarly no of female vounteers this year = x+0.3x = 1.3x
1.3x =1.2 y
+1.3x%2F1.2+=y

but x+y =375
+x%2B%281.3x%2F1.2%29+=375
+%281.2x%2B1.3x%29%2F1.2+=375
+1.5x%2F1.2+=375
+1.5+x=+375%2A1.2
1.5x+=450
+x=300
no of female volunteers last year = 300
this year , increse = 20 % of 300
