There are two ways to look at this problem. We can divide it so the answer is represented by a decimal or we can write the answer in a fraction.

Decimal form
60%2F9+=+6.667
However, it should be noted that I rounded up. Putting that aside from this we can deduce each individual will get 6 sweets plus 66% of another sweet.


Fraction Form
The initial fraction we start with is:
60%2F9
So we then reduce the fraction to it's simplest form via its GCD which is 3
60%2F3+=+20
9%2F3+=+3
Which leaves us with:
20%2F3
or if we put it into a mixed fraction the answer will be:
6 2/3
In other words each individual will get 6 sweets plus 2/3 of a sweet.
