Question 728888: can someone please help me answer this?
Your at the beach and decide to rent a bicycle. There are 2 different rental plans, and since you are on a tight budget you want to choose the best plan for your situation. You plan to keep the bicycle for 3 days. How many miles would you have to bike in order to pay less with plan B?
Plan A:$20 per day + $.12 per mile
Plan B:$25 per day + $.06 per mile

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You know you're keeping the bike for three days. So Plan A is $60 + .12x, where x is the number of miles, and Plan B is $75 + .06x.

The question is when is B less than A.

75+.06x < 60+.12x. Solve it for x, the number of miles.

15 < .06x

250 < x

Plan B costs less when you ride more than 250 miles.
