You can put this solution on YOUR website!
area of a parallelogram is equal to B * H where B is the base of the parallelogram and H is the height of the parallelogram.

The equation would be:

A = B * H

Since B = 12 and H = (x-7), then this equation becomes:

A = 12 * (x - 7)

One of the expressions is 12 * (x - 7)

The equivalent expression might be 12x - 84

Both these expressions are equivalent (they mean the same thing).

Your equations can be either:

A = 12 * (x - 7)

or:

A = 12*x - 84

The expressions on the right side of the equal sign are the equivalent expressions.

12*x - 84 is equivalent to 12 * (x - 7)
