Good Lord!, what is the universal simplifier????
=============
Your Problem:
The least common denominator (lcm) is (x-2)(x+6)
Rewrite each fraction with the lcm as its denominator:
[(x+1)(x+6)]/lcm + [(x+3)(x-2)]/lcm
Combine the numerators over the lcm:
[x^2+7x+6 + x^2+x-6]/lcm
Simplify:
[2x^2+8x]/lcm
[2x(x+8)]/[(x-2)(x+6)]
No more simplifying is possible.
