You can put this solution on YOUR website! I hope this helps:
You can read as "minus 30 is lesser than minus 5."
We graph numbers on a number line, with positive numbers to the right and negative numbers to the left.
It looks sort of like the scale on a thermometer, but horizontal instead of vertical.
Greater (larger) numbers are to the right of lesser (smaller) numbers.
Negative numbers are to the left of zero. They are less than zero.
On a number line, the numbers and are positioned like this:

The symbols and are the same symbol flipped over.
The smaller (pointy) end is drawn pointing to the smaller number, and the wide, open end points to the larger number (the one that is further to the right on the line).
Some examples:

is a product (multiplication) of two expressions.
It can be calculated as

and are the factors
is the product (the result of the multiplication)
You can say that all those expressions are polynomials , although and seem too small to deserve to be called and are usually called . The part is because they have just two parts connected by a minus sign.
Sometimes an expression like is called a rather than a polynomial, because it has exactly 3 parts connected by plus and minus signs.
You can also say that
is the factorization of
Factorizing polynomials like can get complicated.
It is more complicated to than finding the prime factorization of a number.
