You can put this solution on YOUR website!
when you are adding or subtracting fractions you need to first find the common denominator
7 3/4 + 2 2/3
the lowest common denominator in this case will be 12, you then convert both fractions to that,
7 9/12 + 2 8/12
so lets add...
7 9/12 + 2 8/12 = 9 17/12 ---------- 9 17/12 is an improper fraction, so lets fix it
10 5/12 you cannot simplify the fraction anymore, so this is your answer :)

Nothing wrong with the way you went about it. I look at it a little differently and change the mixed fractions to improper fractions, then find and apply the LCD, then add, and then convert back to a mixed fraction. I just see things easier this way, but if you get it the way you did it, march on. Either way, you get the same right answer.
