The factors of 28 are:
1, 2, 4, 7, 14, 28
In other words, we can write 28 as 2*14 or 7*4, etc. We want to write 28 as a product of prime factors. We can write 28 as
28=7%2A4 and 4 can be written as
4=2%2A2
So 28 can be written as
28=7%2A2%2A2
or
28=7%2A2%5E2
Since all the factors are prime we have written 28 as a product of prime factors.
