Make y the subject in the first equation and substitute in equation (2)
-2 x + 1 y = -2 .............1 y = -2 + 2 x
3 x + 4 y = 3 .....................2
Substitute y in (2)
3x+ 4 ( -2 + 2 x ) = 3
3 x + -8 + 8 x = 3
3 x 8 x = 11
11 x = 11
/ 11
x= 1
Plug the value of x in (1)
-2 x + 1 y = -2
-2 * 1 + 1 y = -2
-2 + 1 y = -2
y = 0
