25/15 + 3/15

(25 + 3)/15

28/15

So 5/3 + 1/5 = 28/15

Side Note:

5/3 = 25/15 after you multiply top and bottom by 5

1/5 = 3/15 after you multiply top and bottom by 3

We do this so the denominators are both equal to the LCD 15
