Question 616898: What would you do if you have a big huge fraction over a number that's not in the power of ten? Like: 458/977
I learned that you divide the bottom number (Isn't that the numerator) by the top number (I'm guessing that's the denominator). Or maybe the division proscess is opposite of what I'm doing. Thanks for your time! ;)

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Numerator is on the top. denominator is on the bottom.
Unless you are going to use division to get the number in decimal form, I would simply attempt to reduce the fraction by finding common factors and cancelling them out.

In this case, 977 is prime, so it cannot be reduced.
You will need to resort to using long division to convert to decimal (or use a calculator). Divide the top number by the bottom one
