Add the fractions you know by finding the least common denominator and then adding the numerators and the denominators together. The LCD is 15. So add 5/15 to 6/15. The unshaded portion is 11/15. The whole is one; write one as 15/15. Subtract the unshaded portion from the whole to get the shaded portion.
15/15-11/15=4/15. Just a touch less ahan one third of the circle is shaded.
