5m-9=m%2B4...move m to the left and -9 to the right side of equation sign

5m-m=9%2B4
4m=13
m=13%2F4
m=3%281%2F4%29

First add and subtract like terms, keep m's on left.
Then merge,
4m = 13
and divide by the m coefficient,
m = 13/4
