find the values of y for which the following is undefined

%282y-6%29%2F%282y%5E2%2B5y%2B2%29

checking out the denominator |CANNOT equal zero

 2y^2 + 5y + 2 = 0

factoring

(2y +1)(y+2) = 0

(2y +1)= 0   y = -1/2

 (y+2) = 0   y = -2

Undefined when y = -1/2 or y = -2
