Firstly, convert all mixed fractions to improper fractions.

3_1/4 = 13/4

6_1/2 = 13/2

13/4 divided by 13/2 = x divided by 8/3

We now cross-multiply.

13x/2 = 26/3

Cross-multiply again.

26*3 = 13x*3

78 = 39x

Divide both sides by 39.

78/39 = x

2 = x

The answer is x = 2.
