use a drawing of 2 cups filled with water.
make them equal first: 5/8 > 3.5/8
go from there

Put two pies side by side.
Break each up into 16 slices.
Color in 10 of the slices on the left side.
10%2F16=5%2F8
Color in 7 of the slices on the right side.
7%2F16
Then put a ">" sign between them.
