You can put this solution on YOUR website! Assume the problem is: + 6 = 2
remember whatever you do to one side, do also to the other side
Subtract 6 from both sides + 6 - 6 = 2 - 6
which is = -4
Multiply both sides by 3
3* = 3 * -4
cancels the denominator and you have
W = -12
:
Now check the solution in the original equation + 6 = 2
-4 + 6 = 2,
2 = 2, confirms our solution
